This stunning mug has been designed to commemorate the First World War Centenary , 100 years since the end of the conflict. It also celebrates the return of the ‘Weeping Window’ installation from the Tower of London to one of its last tour venues, Stoke on Trent. A place where the majority of the ceramic poppies were made, by hand in the heart of The Potteries. Before it finally moves to its final presentation at the Imperial War Museum.
The inside features a single poppy either side with the script ‘ always remembered’ and ‘freedom and peace’ in the stem.
This mug is 100% Staffordshire Fine Bone China. Each mug has been decorated by local highly experienced lithographers before being fired in the kiln. The whole process happens right here in The Potteries at Heraldic Pottery.
